David FERRIS - Potterne

Looking for the baptismal records for David Ferris.  He was born abt 1808 in Potterne.  Unfortunately I have no knowledge of parents.  Any help much appreciated.

I can see two baptisms four miles away in Rowde

David FERRISS b 6 Mar 1806 bap 25 May 1806 parents Thomas and Sarah

also listed

Job FERIS b 7 May 1804 bap 27 May 1804 parents Thomas and Sarah

then we have

David FERRESS b 6 Jun 1807 bapt 20 Sep 1807 parents James and Sarah

Many thanks for your reply.  I am going to go with the David Ferris, born in 1806, parents Thomas and Sarah, but will have to find my David's marriage to confirm.    He also named one of his sons Job, which appears to be a brothers name, but needs to be confirmed.

Son Job does sound promising 

Unfortunately if he was married before civil registration (Sep 1/4 1837) I am afraid his father will not be listed. You can hope that the witnesses may be helpful

There is a Marriage Licence Bond 16 Apr 1832 David FERRIS Bachelor residing Cirencester Gloucs and Anne BREWLEY spinster residing Bremhill Wiltshire to be married at Bremhill.

In 1841 they are in Trowbridge with sons Joseph and William. He is a Jeweller. I don't see Job to see if he is in the same line of work
