WHITE James birth look up

According to my records and Australian history fact sheets, James White - Sculptor of many Australian monuments,  was born 2 Dec 1861 Liverpool Lancashire England to Parents Robert White ship builder and Janet Dunn, however to no avail can I find confirmation of this.  I have found him in 1881 scotland cenus at age 19 living with his mother and grandmother and know he arrived in australia in 1884  married in 1893 Jamesina Dunn  and died in Bris Aust 1918. 

If I could trouble anyone for a look up and any brothers or sisters that would be  great. Ella

Seems to b a Robert T White and a  Janet White as siblings.

Hi Pauline,

Thanks for that Yes your information is correct there is another 2 children to the family. What I cant find is confirmation of James White's birth.  all help is very much appreciated.

If he was born in December 1861 - his birth may only have been registered after Christmas/New Year in which case it would only show up in the March quarter of 1862

There are 2 entries in 1862 on freebmd

Births March qtr 1862 

WHITE  James     W Derby  8b 498   
WHITE  James     Liverpool  8b 5

You could put a condition on any application that you only want it if parents were Robert and Janet
