Parish Reg look up Barton Yotks complete

Could you please find me the christening of Jane Dowson approx 1837 in Barton Yorks . Her marriage cert says she was full age in 1860 father Thomas.
In 1861 census she is married to John Hutton in Shotton aged 23 born Barton.

Sorry, do not have access to parish registers. But am sure someone else can  help.

Have been looking for her on earlier censuses. Do you have them? 1841, 1851? Was her Father Thomas possibly an Accountant or Mariner on Marriage cert?

I Have just received that cert and father is Henry a spirit merchant in Northallerton no address Jane Ann was a twin being born at 3 pm. So I have a spare certificate if anyone needs it!!

Hello , i tried looking for Jane's christening but no luck, but i did come across 1841 census thomas 30 a mariner ,mary wife 30,john 8, william 6, jane 4, & joseph 1,living at high st kingston upon hull  yorkshire , dont know if you have this or they are the relatives you are looking for, i will try again for jane , ellen

The IGI has a baptism:

Jane Dowson  4th Feb 1838  Barton St. Mary, Yorkshire
parents Thomas Dowson and Anne

Next time you order a cert, it would be worth checking with the local register office that the details are correct before paying for it.  Most will do this free, but if you order from the GRO there is a £3 search fee which is included in the £7 cert fee if correct.

Thank you for that The IGI one sounds correct right place right time. I suppose her christening may not have been straight after birth.
Also the tip re the local register office Do you write ?

Mar 1838 Darlington  24   45    Dawson    Jane Ann        

Darlington also seems to have covered Barton

Cert can be ordered online from Darlington, although at the moment this page doesn't seem to be working for me, maybe just a temporary blip:

You could perhaps email them at   RegisterOffice [at] darlington.gov.uk  substituting @ for [at]  and ask them to check that Thomas is the father


Full age on marriage cert just means over 21

Jane Dowson on her marriage cert has 
her father as Thomas a labourer  She was of full age .
I have been unable to find her on either the 41 or 51 census. I thought she was from the family in Forest and frith but they have been ruled out.

Did you get Jane's birthplace from a later census?  Who did she marry? Did it say that her father was deceased at time of marriage?  I found a Jane and brother Thomas in 1841 but no parents

edit just seen that she married John Hutton in Shotton!
