From Sudbury St Gregory registers:
9 Sept 1825 James Rampling baptised to James and Sarah of Walnut Tree Lane, cordwainer
12 Nov 1827 John Edward Rampling baptised to James and Sarah of St Gregory Street, cordwainer
The burials have been posted but the full details are:
31 May 1830 Sarah Rampling dau of James and Sarah of St Gregory Street, 7 yrs
5 July 1833 Sarah Rampling wife of James of St Gregory Street, 36 yrs
No other signs of this family in Sudbury.
There is a marriage in All Saints as follows:
?9 July 1793 John Ramplin and Sarah Hayward.
Don't know as yet what happened to them. We've extracted a lot of information on Ramplin(g) from the Sudbury and surrounding parishes as some are linked to our Hitcham Ramplings. When get a chance will see if we have any further info on this family. I think its safe to say that they are one and the same because of the profession. There is no sign of a James Rampling baptised in Sudbury around 1793 so I doubt he came from the parish unfortunately. As there is no sign of any of them on the census apart from John, it would tend to suggest they could well be yours.
