Hiya,

there are no Lomardini families in Devon on the 1851 but these are close enough to be mis transcriptions.

I am an Englishman called David Bishop who is descended from the Northam family from Devon, UK, and before that, various Lombardinis....

I am trying to find out more about these people:

Tomaso Lombardini (? - ?) moved to North Devon UK from North Italy (Lombardia?) probably between 1810 and 1840. I understand that he may have tried to avoid military conscription in Italy by emigrating from Italy to the UK.
He had 2 children Francesco Lombardini (? - ?) and Georgio Lombardini (1820 -1912)
Tomaso and Georgio, I think, became shoemakers in Devon in the 1800s...

Georgio (or George) had the following children:
Margaret Lily Lombardini born 1868, William Parsons Lombardini born 1865 died 1913, Alfred Garibaldi Lombardini born 1860, Susan Emma Lombardini born 1860, Bertha Ann Lombardini born 1859, Mary Jane Lombardini born 1856, Francis Peter Lombardini born 1855 died 1900, George Thomas Lombardini born 1852.

Hi All,

My name is Julie Harris and I live in Australia.

I am seeking information about Innocenzo Luigi Lombardini. I have been able to find out that he was born in July 1913 and died in 1971 and that he married Lillian Grace Goddard in 1965. Lillian died in March 2010. Prior to his marriage to Lillian, he was married to a lady whose maiden name was Evens.

I am aware that he had a son and a daughter who both had the surname, Evens. He also had a son, born in 1954, who emigrated to Australia with his mother in 1957. That son's mother's name was Betty Joyce Harman. Betty died 13/07/2010.

Innocenzo's son, who travelled to Australia, was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in 1976 which resulted in him becoming a quadriplegic.

All I am seeking is a photograph of Innocenzo, for my brother.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou.
Julie.

Hello Julie

I am the daughter of Innocenzo Luigi Lombardini and Lillian Grace Goddard. I have been searching for my brother for a number of years and would love to get in contact again. I do have access to some old family photo.

I look forward in hearing from you

Hi Pam,

Thankyou so much for your reply. I can't express how exciting it was to receive it!!!

After all these years, as you are probably aware, my brother knows very little about his father and doesn't even know what he looked like. From what our mother told us, we have gleaned that Innocenzo was interested in anything mechanical. His son and your brother is very mechanically minded as well.

I'm pretty sure I can't mention his name here but it starts with "J". Anyway, "J" knows that I am seeking information about his father and always asks me if I have found anything yet. At last, I can tell him some excellent news.

My email address is on my profile page. I would be delighted if you contacted me through my email and I can give you more details about your brother.

Once again, thankyou so much.

Julie.
