Added... just rechecked... on 1881 says father of Andrew is Andrew...???

Just logged on as I forgot to respond to this comment.
Andrew 68 from Ireland is described as g.father on the doc I read. 

So, the line would be

Andrew bc 1859
Alexander b?  say, 1836ish
Andrew bc 1813

This is quite useful and informative...

The marriage of David CRAWFORD and Elizabeth BROWN, as on SP -

David CRAWFORD, Corporal in the 93rd Highlanders, at present in Aberdeen, was on the 4th day of May 1848 married at Aberdeen to Elizabeth BROWN, there, relict of the deceased William NEWLANDS, Ships Carpenter, in Aberdeen, by the Rev John Murray, Minister of the Free North Church Aberdeen.  Witnesses were John PROVAN Private in the 93rd Highlandersn and John KEITH, Seaman, both in Aberdeen

So Elizabeth was on her second marriage... BROWN being her maiden name, her first married name being NEWLANDS.
