Hi, I am searching for any information on my 2x great grand parents Barbara Gaughan and James Hart born around 1840 in County Mayo. There Children immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1880 but I can't find any records that James and Barbara ever lived here. If anyone has run across anything in their research about James Hart or Barbara Gaughan I would really appreciate a share!! Thanks

Dennis is an unusual name in the MUNNELLY family, which might be a clue for you.  I have 3 in my tree: 1) Dennis (1856-1904);Son of James MUNNELLY (1827-1875)+Mary CAROLAN (siblings Mary, Cormack, John....) 2) Living (not him) 3) Dennis Charles MUNLEY (1882-1942); son of Patrick MUNLEY (1846-1923)+Julia BARRETT (1852-1941); b PA; lots of siblings incl. Mary b 1890 b Winton PA; lived Jessup PA; m Sarah CLARK; sibling Mary b 1890 or 1908; Dennis registered for draft age 60 but died that year.
Grandparents of Dennis b 1882 are Michael MUNNELLY (1820-)+Ellen "Nellie" REAP/REAPE (1820-).  Another child was Mary (1845-1907) who m Peter GAUGHAN (1844-1908) who was son of Austin (1800-1889)+Mary PERKINS (1815-1890).
I have dna matches to 5 MANLEY/MUNNELLYs; my ancestor Catherine b 1808, who m Patrick Edward FOY.  They em. to Waukegan/Chicago IL 1845 but cousins in PA.  I have lots of GAUGHAN cousins, in my MEARS/MEER family.

Barbara GAUGHAN b abt 1847 Co Mayo was dau of Michael GAUGHAN (1811-)+Rose (1810-1874).  In 1861 age 14 Barbara resided Liverpool, Lancashire, England.  Confusing info: her mother d Doolough, Co Mayo 31 Oct 1874, so some part of this is likely incorrect, unless perhaps she accompanied another family to England?  That sort of thing was not uncommon.  Another tree shows Michael with a different wife Mary (1813-), unless Mary & Rose were the same person.  A 3rd tree gives Barbara parents Thomas GAUGHAN (1810-1892)+the same Mary (1813-).

Can you tell us the children's names and ages, it might be possible to find the children's births or baptisms and hopefully work back to their parents marriage.

Owen Hart Born 1863 Ireland- Died July 9,1915 In Pittsburgh PA
Annie Hart Born 1973 Ireland- Died 1935 in Pittsburgh PA
I am not sure if there were other siblings, I only found Annie through searching death certificates and I realized that my Grandmother had signed it. Thanks so much for the assistance!

Ten years is a big gap, there may be more in between.
Ages on death certs can be out as they depend on the person giving the information but working with what you have there are two possible hits for Annie one 1873 another 1874 both registered in Castlebar so that's an area to start searching church records.
Registration of births didn't start until 1864 and I only see an Owen in 1865 in Manorhamilton which isn't in Mayo so hopefully the birth year you have is correct.

This link from IrishGenealogy tool kit shows the Reg district of Castlebar
http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/image-files/registrardistrictsmapnorth2.jpg
if you look at the map of RC parishes, you will see the Reg district covers a couple of parishes so a few to get through.

Thanks for looking- I just feel like I am at a dead end! Unfortunately all of my older relatives have passed away and we never talked about it enough to know if Owen had other siblings. Like you said there is a huge gap between Owen and Annies ages so I'm guessing there were a few but I don't know if they survived or made the journey to America.

I found something: Thomas HART/HARTE m Mary GERAGHTY; residence given Derryfadda, Mayo.  He d 1879 Castlebar, age 79.  found here: https://www.british-genealogy.com/archive/index.php/t-65111.html w info if you want death certificate.  This may be clue where to look.
Also, John O'HART (famous genealogist) was native of Crossmolina, b 1824.
Acc. to a Henry Travers HART of London 1907, HARTs were from Donegal.  There were a group brought in fr. Donegal as weavers for the flax, my ancestor FOY turned into a farmer of flax.
Martin HART of Glenhest (Addergoole?) d 1900 age 42; m Catherine CROFTON abt 1894 (children 1895-1901) Maria, John, Julia, Martin.
One more: Edward HART of Tawnag East, Kilmainemore, Ballinrobe, Co Mayo.  He m Cath. Linsky of Ireland.  Son William b 4 Aug 1819 Ballinrobe, who came to Ohio, USA and m Margaret CULL.
