Hello Ellen  :)

Welcome to Rootschat   ;D

We'll do our best to help  ;D

Do you have any idea where he might have been born ?  Where and when were his children born - their names?  Was Annie their mother or his mother ?

Moderator comment: topic unlocked - assume this was a slip of the finger?

Well, either of you could have used the Report to Moderator button, or PMed one of your friendly local Moderators - that's usually best!

Happy to help!

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

OK, what :

names witnessed each child's marriage?

what was the father's occupation at the birth and marriage of each child?

What address(es) did these kids marry from?

This might be William Sephton (bn 1864) on the 1871 census:
Rice? Lane, Walton

Henry Sephton  H Mar   35   Carter   Bn Walton, Lancs
Robina?             W         31                "                     "
Wm Henry          S          7                  "                     "
Richard              S           5                  "                     "
Ann Jane           D           13               "                      "
Edward John      S           1                 "                      "
Ann Jane Guy    Lodger    60              Liverpool, Lancs
John Guy          lodger son 18              "                  "

RG10, Piece 3831, Folio 57, PAge 15

I realise this might be a bit of a leap at the moment, but might be worth keeping to one side as a possibility!

Hi folks....
just to say that Ellen accidently locked this for awhile yesterday and so i sent my findings via PM

it seems that Robina and henry are very possibly the great grand parents of W H Sephton b 1886 ... they also lived in the same road as some of Ellen's other ancestors.

i found the children of W H and Annie in 1901 - Annie was in an Indusrial Scool as a boarder and William was lodging with his Uncle .

I have given Ellen 1861 info too. it seems that Robina was born in Scotland but it has been put as lancs in 1871 .
just thought i would clarify save duplicating  :).

Best wishes
