RE Robina...Place of birth ....it says Dumfries Scotland on 1 census and Lancs on another ?

Thanks Debz,i have been very busy myself & have found out that Robina 1 was born in scotland 1939 ,her son richard b1866 also had a daughter robina b 1889 , also i have found in the 1891 robina 1 living at 45 ismay st. walton on the hill , with 2 sons Edward age 14 & john age 12,they live next door to william & mary trawler who also have a daughter named robina  so i am going to carry on to see if these people are related to robina 1 , i want to thank everone for their help with my search , you have all been so helpful , i am so grateful to you all for your kindness & time , especially you debz , still cannot find any information on my great grandad or annie , i am going to send for birth certificate for william henry who i am sure was born 1864 to robina & henry, keep your fingers crossed , ps can you tell me where i can find or buy the street maps . ellen

I'm sure you are on the right track 

i will do my best to send you 1 or 2 maps....i have to cheat a bit and then copy and crop , the hardest bit is finding the correct place on the old maps.

they can be bought on line but you may try a library before spending but i'll do my best today.
Rice lane and Birchfield road are still to be seen on Google. Railway Road is no longer but as you can gather they lived by Walton station .
