Hi Vicki
The details for EMC have unfortunately been missed indexed as they are not in the file quoted. The Archive Centre will investigate but don't expect a quick answer.
The details for APC are there although some of them are in German which I don't fully understand. However there is a letter from the Attorney General to C J Cuming, Constable of St Helier giving an English summary. It would appear that on 22nd December 1942 he was charged (with others) of accepting stolen goods. He was born 30th May 1897 and was living at the time at Armadene, Mont Au Petre, St Helier. After his name was "Gemuesehaerseller", which I think is his occupation. He was charged alongside Arthur Archibald Laurens (a farmer), John James Le Marquand (a farmer) and Hanoe Castets (a wood dealer).
Field Command 515 sentenced him "to a fine of RM 200 in lieu of a sentence of 20 days imprisonment imposed for receiving stolen goods".
Receiving stolen goods at that time would have been a common occurrence. I'm told by someone who was alive at the time that there was a waiting list to serve sentences at the jail!!
It is possible to get copies of the letters from the Archive Centre.
