HI, I am researching the Rennie / Renny family from Fife, Scotland including Inverkeithing.  I have loads of information.  Common names include Henry (there was 3 in my line), Sebastian, George, Alexander.  Since James was mentioned above that name is also common amongst the relatives.

      Sorry I dont think we have a connection all my Rennie's were from Aberdeenshire and Banffshire, I have found the one that was at Inverkeithny Banffshire.
As I say I dont think there is a connection with your Rennie's but you never know.
Names in my Rennie tree are Rennie, Smith, Scott, Milne, Webster,
Harper, Pickard, Forsyth.

Do you see a connection to any of those names in your tree?
Do you know if any of your Rennie's came from the North East?

Henry and Sebastian are unusual enough in Scotland to be useful in tracing a family. George less so, and Alexander and James, along with William and John, are so common that they are effectively useless for making family connections.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi,my maiden name is RENNIE. My father Jack Anderson Rennie was born in Anstruther / Pittenweem in 1939. My grandfather( Dey) was John Lawrence Rennie. My Dey married Jessie Anderson (my gran) and they moved to Douglas, Lanarkshire.

Hi dobbs 55 don't think there is any connection , don't recognise any of the names you mention
and don't think my Rennie'shad any connection with Fife, mine were all Aberdeenshire and Banffshire.
