(3) Philadelphia Vinall baptised 25 Septembr 1808 Cowfold Sussex
Parents George Vinall & Philadelphia (nee Billingsgate)

This entry is incorrect. The entry says:-
Philadelphia Holmes Sandals Vinall baptised 25 September 1808
(the date of the baptism of the daughter of Philadelphia Vinall the daughter of George Vinalls & Philadelphia (nee Billingsgate))
But her parents are written as Stephen Sandals & Esther (nee Vinall).
As can be seen from the parish record above. Stephen Sandals and Esther Vinall were not married when Philadelphia was born. She was listed as a 'base' child - illegitimate - even though her father's name was included in the parish record.
The REAL Philadelphia Holmes Sandals (no Vinall) was born 14 July 1800 Fletching
Her parents were John Sandals & Elizabeth (nee Holmes)
