Here is a link to researching the military at Kew - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/militaryhistory/army/

Surviving papers for men discharged between 1900 and 1913 are in Series WO97. They are original documents so you will have to visit.

The George Medal was introduced about 1940. The British War Medal from WW1 has the head of George V on it and was issued alongside the Victory Medal. I think it will be that he received.

There was only one Lincolnshire Regiment. The 1st and 2nd Battalions (plus the Depot) made up the regiment. It looks as if he was transferred between them at some change. You obviously have some details of his early service. If you know what clasps he received with his Boer War medals and/or his battalion at the time I can tell you what they did in the Boer War. If not I suggest you post a question on the British Medal Forum.
