Thankyou, to date I have not made any connection further afield than around Spalding but I have not explored the Wright family further back than1841. I will when I have sorted out the Coles and Cordleys. I thought I had nearly finished but then something of interest crops up and the circles expand.
I will be in contact when I have any news, thank you again,it is very generous. Kind regards. Viktoria

Hi Alan, I'm Pam.  My family came from Boston/Wrangle Lincolnshire. My great grandfather was JOSEPH HORTON B 1838 and his father was ROBERT, they were both bricklayers. I have had trouble searching for Robert and was hoping you might have been luckier than me!!!.

Regards
Pam

Hi Pam,

The only surname HORTON in my ancestors date back to the early 1700s and are not from Lincolnshire. I had a look on the International Genealogy Index (Church of JC Latter Day Saints) website and found the following results from the 1881 British census: Joseph HORTON born Wigston, Leicester approx. 1839, wife Elizabeth born approx. 1865 at Plumstead, Kent, and children Elizabeth (b.1865), Samuel (1871). Catherine (1872) & Isaac (1879). Is this your family? I also found a Robert HORTON b. abt. 1818 at Aylesby in Lincoln (a labourer) married to Elizabeth b. abt. 1817 at Clixby, Lincoln. But can't find where this Robert & Elizabeth had a son Joseph. This probably confuses more than helps.
Cheers,
Allan

Thanks for that Allan, yes that is my family but just can't tie Joseph with any Robert but will keep trying.
