shearer - Aberdeenshire/Banff

I am trying to find any information on the shearer family from Aberdeenshire area.
Thomas Shearer was born 1789 in Aberdour. He married Ann Bruce from Alva in 1823.
I can only find records for 1 child, George Shearer born 1830 in Auchterless. He married Elizabeth Marshall in Aberdour in 1850.
I believe Thomas and Ann lived most of their lives in New Pitsligo according to the census of 41,51 and61.

Can anyone advise me on how to find Thomas parents and his children please

This is the closest match I can see so far for your Thomas parents. Nothing for siblings.

Thomas died 12 Jan 1877, Old Machar, Aberdeen. Aged 86, widower of Ann Bruce. A retired farmer.  His father is shown as Thomas Shearer, farmer, deceased. Mother's name is not given apart from deceased.

The informant was Janet M? , a nurse.

Of little help, I'm sure but back in the 1940/50s ,there was a Shearer who had a butchers shop in Union Grove/ corner of St Swithin Street...
