I wish I had a photo like yours,

It certainly looks Edwardian to me, c1910 would be my guess.

Looks like the man in the individual photo is the same as the man in the group photo Second from Left.   Leagen

Hello All,

Thanks for your continuing interest in this thread.  As the thread is now quite long, I thought it would be useful to summarize the issue.

The lovely wedding photo which everyone has been purring over is not the issue!  It is dated 1909.  It was introduced at a later stage of the thread - the title of the thread refers to the photo in the very first posting, which is of a single gentleman, who has been identified by two different relatives as either a great uncle of mine, or that fellow's son.

Based on feedback so far, I have concluded that that photo is closer to 1900 than 1930, and therefore a photo of the father, rather than the son.  There also seems to be a general opinion that he is the same person as the man standing between the ladies in the wedding photo, although a small number of posters feel that he is the man second from the left.

All the best

Hi Tim

I just read that the wedding photo is not your issue, but as I had already coloured it, I thought I might as well post it.  Teach me to read a thread more thoroughly next time  :-\ ;D

Lovely wedding party, why are mine never this interesting?

Thanks Lones, that's a great job!  The wedding photo is, of course, of great interest to me, so many thanks for your efforts, but the dating of the photo is not in doubt!

Cheers
Tim
