Just checked out the link you supplied.  It shows a Jane and a Mary Jane as children of Daniel.

You mentioned in your last post that Jane became Mary Jane, so presumably your evidence suggests that they were in fact the same person?

Thank you for the Link.

Accoding to the 1871 Census, Jane was 10 months old.  Ten years later she is shown as Mary Jane and is 10 years old.

I have also two references to a Daniel RIDGLEY in 1841 residing in Saunderton, one aged 40 or 46 and the other aged 7.
