I gave it a quick try.
POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

Hi there
Any chance of a rescan? This is 150 dpi and needs to be at least 300dpi to get a better restore and a good print .

Well I gave it a shot, and managed to brighten it up. Having done that the background was  :o
So,
I've sat them infront of a postcard that my dear old Dad sent to his Mum, my Gran Sarah, when he was away during or just after WW1...  8)
Sorry about the curtain though...that came from my own imagination.  :-\
