Recently joined the GOONS (great acronym!!), I have been studying my own KISBY family tree for 25 years and have spent the last 12 months diversifying into a more serious One Name Study. So far I have a steadily growing list of well over 1200 KISBY's (plus many KISBEE's, KISBEY's, KESBY's etc) spread over 3 continents and five centuries.
The KISBY's could generally be found in the Fenland areas of Eastern England (not too many miles from the hamlet of Keisby, Lincs). However, there were also significant pockets of KISBY's in Kent. KISBY also exists as a surname in Denmark, originating from a small village of that name on the Denmark/Germany border.
Would love to hear from anyone with KISBY rellies!
