Hi Sylvia

I don't know if you've had any luck finding your grave yet but I was in Landican today at a family grave so walked over to section 10(in the rain!!).I agree with everyone that the section is not very well kept and the numbering system doesn't seem to follow any sort of logic.
We were just about to give up when my other half found number 763 - then we found 766 so worked out where 764 should be. There wasn't a headstone but when we moved the long grass away there was a  small black vase with the name Samuel Walker on it hidden by the grass. No wonder it was hard to find - and you wouldn't expect to find those numbers at that end of the section.
If you go  - it's at the far end of section 10 - look for a big maroon coloured tree and it's directly in line with that tree.
There are two grey gravestones either side - Harold Cowderoy and Fred Codman. I have taken a photograph so you can see but can't attach it here because of the size restrictions - but could e-mail it to you.

Apologies if you have already found out the information.

Thank you so much for finding the grave for me .I have been to the cemetery today and using your directions was able to find the grave. It has taken over a year to find it and now i need to tidy it up and put some sort of marker on it.Purely by coincidence i also got an e.mail from Landican  today saying the would provide me with a map of that section if i called into the office.Better late than never i suppose.Again thank you for your help

Hello I am new to the site but would be interested to know whether I can find records of cremations at Landican.  I have several relatives who were cremated there before Crematoriums were built in Chester or Wrexham.   The  cremations I am looking for were in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Any information would be appreciated

Helen

Hi Helen

Welcome to Rootschat -

I don't think that there are any records for cremations other than those held at the office in Landican cemetery - which aren't available to view.

If you ring the office with the full name of your relative and approximate date of cremation they should hopefully be able to check the records for you.

Here's the telephone number - 0151 677 2361.

Hope this helps

Hi Helen

I couldn't find an e-mail address for the office at Landican but you could maybe try contacting them via this link -
