Hello as I am currently based in the States I am struggling and wondered if someone could help I'm trying to find my great grandparent's burial place.   I wouldn't think that it would be difficult to find them, but it is.    My great grandfather, Samuel Kirkham died 16 Mar 1912 in Birkenhead. His address at the time was 13 Vincent Road, Liscard. His wife, Sarah Amy Kirkham died 23 July 1931, also in Birkenhead, I think they are registered under the Wirral area could anyone point me in the right direction on how I could find out please this is the last piece of the puzzle for me.

Regards Jill

Hello Jill
Everyone living in Wirral is registered in Birkenhead head ;D,a lot of people think that where the B.M.Or death was registered, that is where they died not so :).If Samuel & Sarah lived  in Liscard they are more likely to be buried in Rake Lane cemetery which is in Liscard they would have been registered in the sub district wallasey at the time. That then went to Birkenhead. Would you like me to see if they are there,If so do you know what religion they might have been.Because The religions are on there own film

Jill
I looked in Rake Lane Non.Con First ;D and C.O.E but no burial found.I had a quick look through some books and found there are 9 graves for Kirkham in the cemetery.
There were not many churches with Grave yards in the Liscard or surrounding districts,What there was have all been built over apart from a couple that i know of. The only other  Main Church is  the very old St Hilary In Liscard.
I have 4 pages of burial for that church but i only went to 1827,I never did get past that ;D
It is very hard trying to find burials,I have three big fat folders.I only know where my grandparents are buried (Rake lane) And thanks to my cousin Cathy My G.Grandparent.
Other than those which i am happy to have,I don't bother with them,as long as i know when they died ;D I will keep you Kirkham on file and Have a brows around the books on the rainy day. Which is most days ;D
