Celia,

I can't even find a death registration for the time that Barnes said. i even checked for different spelling. So either died at a different time or was married!!!

Barnes hasn't replied to her topic since September 30th maybe they are away ;).Or they are not getting the "You have received a reply notification ;) Best to wait for more specific information on the topic, you cant do a blind search without a religion, well you can ;D, but it's time consuming as you know ;D Question 1 where did death year information come from.Without any feedback no one can help,Its very strange there is no registration. The nearest cockerill death I found was 1950/51? but the name was different.
Anyway hope somebody finds the burial.

Hi Celia an Mel

For some reason i haven't received any replies for this subject.  I received a two pm messages yesterday and replied to one had a look at the other but have only just managed to find the very little information i have on this person.  What i can say that she was born in 1925 in Birkenhead that she died D1960/1961 Buried at Landican Cemetery this information was provided from a distant relative.  We have very little information for this lady cannot find a marriage for her so gathered she didn't marry.  Also the person who provided the information of when she died didn't say she married.  Edna was never mentioned by my grandma so i have very little information for her.  Will have to have another look for her.  Sorry that i have lead you both on a wild goose chase looking for Edna.

Thank you both for your kind help.

Thank you Mel for finding Esther.

I'm not sure of what faith my ancestors where but have been told all my Cockerill's that died in Birkenhead where buried at Landican Cemetery.

Thank you again for all the help provided.

I know my Grandmother was buried in Flaybrick Cemetery in about 1925, and I understand she was in a public grave. Is Flaybrick an RC Cemetery? I ask because I have recently traced some members of my birth family as I was adopted. My newfound family swear no-one in the family back then was RC. I would appreciate some help on this one.

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo

Flaybrick has 3 denominations, Church of England, Catholic and Unconsecrated as does Landican, but that didnt  open until 1934.

im in the same boat here.  i live in aylesbury and cant get up there.  ive been told that st marys churchyard in birkenhead was dug up and the bodies reinterred in landicon cemetary.  i still have to check with st marys though as a blogspot site tells me there are two halls there, though the transcriptions given do not contain these graves.

The two Hall inscriptions are on the St. Mary's Site, they were just a little hard to find.

However a new Search box has been added, which will find your surnames a lot easier now.

http://stmarysbirkenhead.blogspot.com/

Also the site contains the majority of the inscriptions for the Landican reinternments from St. Mary.

I believe the early marriages for St. Mary's will also be appearing on the site.

thanks for the reply.  as it turns out neither of these is the hall in question and it sees hers is likely to be one of those moved to landican.  fingers crossed anyway :)
