Further to my attempts thus far to uncover family who once resided in Bradfield / Wix, I have approached the Bradfield Parish Council, mainly to see if they can give me any info on the Bradfield village sign and its historical meanings. Also though to see if there is anyone residing in the Bradfield / Wix / Manningtree area who is actively engaged in genealogical research, or anyone who knows of a local family history group??
I thought that while I am waiting for a reply from the Council, I would post here also, to see if anyone had any info either on the sign or was part of any group or doing research in this area. I live in Chelmsford so to join forces with anyone else researching in the Bradfield / Wix area would be handy for me and also possibly for them in respect of ERO visits, as I am right on the doorstep of the ERO.
