Yeh I think my problem is that I have been trying to get as much online as I can.  I just need to find the time to go into more detail by looking up the old newspapers etc.

Thanks, at least you've given me a few places to look for info.

I see also from your other posts that you have picked up on the death of a William George Fowler, with mother's maiden name REID. His birth is showing I think in the Parish of URRAY, which I believe (you would have to double check!) is the modern Parish name of Muir of Ord and where Tarradale School is located. Other Fowler births showing in Urray between 1920-1940:

1927 William George
1929 Margaret Elizabeth
1931 Helen Margretta

Familiar names within the Fowler/Reid lines but no idea whether they connect to your line unfortunately.

Yeh I found those 3 listings on SP, but like you say there is no way of knowing if they are related, not unless I get the birth certs.  The one I do know of is William George (my father), but the other two I have no idea about.  I am not in a position to ask about whether he had sisters/brothers, so that's why I was hoping to find it out on my own.  Maybe one day i'll just find out!

Keep an eye out here on RootsChat for posts from people who offer to do look ups next time they are visiting New Register House in Edinburgh. They may be able to assist you by looking these births up. In the meantime, I would start by emailing the school - you may well find a friendly soul in the school office who could help  :)
