Missing Record
« on: Monday 29 September 08 13:45 BST (UK) »
I have a problem. My gr grandfather was married on 25 Dec 1880 aged 20 and he died in 1931. He was one of at least 7 children. The older 3 were born 1852; 1854; 1857; Gr Grandfather born 1860. The first were Baptised in St. Patrick's Donegall St. I cannot find a baptism for my Gr Grandfather {DANIEL} on Uls. Hist. Found even though I found the first three there. His 3 younger siblings were born 1865; 1866 and 1869 and they were all baptised in St. Malachy's Alfred St. I got their records from U. H. F. also. Any thoughts on what I can do. My Gr Gr Grandfather also  Daniel Barr died in1885 at 48 Verner St, where his last 3 children were born but I dont know where he was born or how to find out. His wife's name was Maria Weir but I haven't traced her death yet [it was later than his] Anybody out there with any suggestions or inspiration?????

Sorry I can't help find the missing baptism but have often found in church records that in a large family where all the names and birthdates are known one or more children are 'missing' from the church records.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I am also trying to find out more about Daniel Barr b 1827 and wife Maria Weir (b. 1930), both born in Belfast.  Maria was born (along with twin Thomas).  Maria's mother is recorded as Mary Clarke, but that is as far as I have got so far.  Hope this might help a little.
