Hi _ I've just picked up on some old chat about the Burt's of Wemys - I am descended from Margaret Salmond  and John Burt m 30 December 1742.  I know that there was quite a lot of discussion about this on the earlier chat, so am hopeful that some one is still out there looking for the same branch.

There was also talk of John Burt and Rosina Anderson - the name came down through the generations as my grandmother was called Rosina - my mother hated her mother in law's name and thought it was made up - so its been interesting to find out how old it is.

Chisel (this is not actually the my name you will be glad to know - but the name of my son's dog!)

Hi Chisel,

BURT FAMILY

;)The only Anderson I can find in my tree is Grizzell Anderson 4/4/1629 (Dunfermline.)  Is
your Rosina anything to do with her?  How's that for a good name ha ha

Hi - I'm not back that far yet so could not say one way or the other - I will keep an eye out for her if I get back that far - its a name to remember, a bit like Rosina.

Cheers

Chisel
