Hi,

Just checked the NFHS CD for the General Cemetery, and he is not buried there, so you can cross that one off the list!

Best wishes,

It has taken a bit of time but I have now established that William Curtis died between 1908 and 1912.
I found this out from marriages of his children- in 1908 he is shown as alive but on 1912 certs he is deceased. Unfortunately none of them married in between.
I have not been able to find either William or his wife, Ann Ellen on the 1911 census and some of his children are elusive there too.
He is still a big puzzle and as he is my husbands gt grandfather it is a shame not to find out more about him.
Can anyone help?

It seems very strange that there could be 2 Wm Curtis married to Anne Ellen Edwards of Oswestry and Wm being born in Norfolk. MY Wm Curtis did die under mysterious circumstances in Lincolnshire. As for the marriage I have a birth certificate and a  marriage certificate for them, they were married in Oswestry Salop. He was born October 30th 1863 in Bessingham Norfolk, Father James Curtis, mother Ann Sendal, he married Anne Ellen Edwards in Oswestry on 12th November 1885, witnessed by Annie Sergeant and William Edward Edwards, Ann's brother.
