st. columba's church is on the loughgall road on the far end of portadown and st. marks is bang dead in the middle of the town itself. i had a look at the link and seagoe isn't on it. i have a notion that it isnt in the diocese of armagh but dromore, or down and dromore. not sure though.

st. gobhan, thats the one! i think once you cross the bann, in portadown, you leave the armagh diocese and enter the diocese of dromore.

Jane Robinson 21, Spinster weaver, Father Dawson Robinson weaver.  Seagoe Co Armagh
married Samuel Shanks 22, Batchelor weaver, Father John Shanks weaver. Kernan Co Armagh on 14th of August 1857. I hope this is a help.

I had the date for this marriage but not the residence for the groom; Kernan. So you information is appreciated and completes this record for me.

Just noticed this thread!
My father was called Dawson Robinson and was born in Portadown in 1916.  Our family has always wondered about his unusual Christian name.  Could he possibly be related to the Dawson Robinson that you mention in your search?
