LAWDAY/LOWDAY researchers wanted
« on: Monday 22 September 08 11:33 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to establish contact with people researching the Lawday (Lawdey, Lawdy, Lowday and variants )surname. Several years ago I was in contact with a group of people researching this family which originally came from the Barnstaple and KingsNympton area. After several changes of email addresses I have lost touch with these researchers and am wondering if there is anyone out there who has done or is doing research on this family. I am still trying to connect my line descending from James Lawday, a tailor in Somerstown, London, in the early 1800's to the Devonshire Lawdays as my grt grandmother said that was where they originally came from. Any help greatly appreciated
Lawday and variants UK partic James Lawday, tailor Somerstown London, Lawrence family Holborn area London pre 1927 ,
Trengove of Cornwall, Munday of Watlington Oxfordshire pre 1852,
