BURGESS in Essex/ Tendring area

I am looking to trace the parents of an Elizabeth Burgess, born in Essex in 1777, probably Wix or Bradfield but possibly outside those areas. She died in September 1855 in Wix whilst living with her daughter and brother in law, John and Mary Cracknell.

Elizabeth married John Stevenson, born about 1779 again in Essex. They lived in Bradfield, Essex until John died in 1846. They had 3 children, John, Mary and William.

Any information on this family, their parents or descendents appreciated.

I found an Elizabeth Burgess baptised in Wix on 18 July 1779.  Her parents were a Walter Burgess (baptised in Wix in 1737) and a Mary Saunders.  There was another sibling called Elizabeth baptised on 7 July 1776 and who died on 13 June 1777.  So the baby they had a month later they also called Elizabeth.  The only info that doesn't tie in with your dates is that an Elizabeth Burgess married a John Chaplin (born 1775 in Wix) (not Stevenson) on 29 October 1802 in Wix.  This ofcourse may not be your Elizabeth Burgess but it maybe connected to your tree?
