Hi Cousin Leggy.....you've got the right ones, the Kerton as we were called...my maiden name is Kerton and I have traced the descendants back to 1800s as well....there was a Martha married to John....and my gg was Henry, then my grandpa was Frederick born about 1882 in Harton Yorkshire...sounds like the same ones to me....this is very exciting....I knew my Uncle Albert and all the family of my Grampa Fred as they immigrated to Canada around the same time and died here and are buried here or set out to sea(their ashes) and of course there are more family here too. Do you live in Tilehurst? I think my grandpa did have one brother that stayed in England was a Minister in a Church, I thought his name was John but I am not too sure on that...their death anouncements are on the British Columbia Census . Iand available on-line, I did use Ancestry.com because it is available at the Libray I work....I also found an Fanny Kerton who appears to be a maiden Aunt that lives with John after Martha dies...I traced her back to the 1841 England census and she is living with her parents in Tilehurst and they are William Kerton born 1771 in Berkshire and Sarah Kerton born in 1771 so they must be the parents of John born in 1814...so long for now I will definitely be in touch...Ettie (Ellen)
