Afraid it's not that simple. Civil registration of births began in 1864 so there will be no birth certificate. To find church records (if they exist) you need to know where they lived (parish if not actual townland not just 'Antrim') and their religion.

thanks Aghadhowey I have been given a few Ideas where I might find the information I need,so I will try that first. Im hoping to visit Antrim next year so with a bit of luck I might be able to visit where the family came from.cheers for now and thanks again

This is interesting. I am looking for a Daniel McNeill born abt. 1812 and married to Mary Darroch so this could be him. It is a great, great, great grandfather. He had a son William
Daniel died in Glasgow on Sep 17 1861
