Thomas Dickinson

I am looking for a birth of Thomas Dickinson in about 1772 in one of the parishes around Wigan Lancs. I have searched Wigan and he was not born there although he was married there! Can anyone help. I live in Suffolk and it is not easy to keep coming up to Lancs!!

These are from the BRVI, only one with the correct spelling, but we all know about transcription errors! I know nothing of Lancashire so do not know if any of these are from the Wigan area. Frances

Thank you Frances for the information. Thomas from Upholland is probably the right one. The archivist at Wigan is now doing a search for me, as,like you, I do not come from that area!!

ost of my Dickinsons came from Upholland and Wigan but am looking for William who came from Bickerstaff I think.
