Hi Jonny,

Norfolk Baptism project has Erpingham

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~tinstaafl/index.htm

This could be Mary
24/03/1816 Mary Houk  mother Elizabeth Houk

this maybe Sophia
10/12/1820 Sophia Hook  mother Elizabeth Hook

No father given for Mary or Sophia

hello eileen.
many thanks for your reply, very interesting, there is every poss chance that the vout, was written as those you mentioned, given how the names has a differance in the parish records. but as the father was not mentioned, this would in most cases suggest that the child was base born. however on sophia marriage cert  a fathers name is given, alas it is so badly written that one cant work it out(we are talking 1840 here). but i will look into it.
cheers jonny, best wishes

I have links with the Vout Family of Norfolk. Particularly Ethel Jane. Any Links to her. She married into the Yaxley Family.
