Do you have other information about this person that might lead to other documents with her name eg census, BMD certificates etc?  What kind of document is the name written on?

I have just finished transcribing some records from the 19th century and have found looking at census and other documents quite helpful in transalting some appalling handwrting!

Hi all

This written piece was in an old photo album from my g grandmother in which she identified photos of which the majority are missing, including this one.
I thought it did look like de Purks/ Parks.  :-\
The album contained only photos of family and I have not come across anyone in the family with this name or anything similar to it. Looks like it'll have to remain a mystery as to who this person was.

Thanks for all your efforts and replies.
Kind Regards
Annette

May I suggest as a first step you look at other things written by your great grandmother--i hope you have something more-- and piece together a possible alphabet and work from there?

Could it possibly be the name of a Park where the photo was taken?
