It most certainly could be because Emily Sarah Danavell was Fredericks sister!
Thank you so much!

I can't find anything on the net with reference to Cruck Meole 'Villa'. Did houses have names in those days or just numbers does anyone know?

A mixture; in the built-up areas houses would be numbered but often in more rural parts the houses would just have names, especially "villas".

Looks like the Villa was a private house.

In 1913 (from the Kellys Directory of Shropshire) the villa was occupied by Robert Madeley.

Hi, Sharon
I'm a bit behind the times here, but I've just spotted your queries re a possible Atcham Asylum.  I've just learnt that an ancestor of mine died "in an asylum" at Shrewsbury in 1889.  Ancestry UK's death records actually show him as dying at "Atcham".
So did you ever find out whether there was what nowadays we'd call a mental hospital at Shrewsbury ?  (He was living in Shrewsbury for the 1881 Census, & still presumably OK at the time)
Peter

Hi Peter,

Here in Shrewsbury we have the Shelton hospital, that used to be the main asylum for what i can make out for Shropshire, try googling it,  We do have a few workhouses that came under the district of Atcham although I think its Shelton you may be after,

Best wishes
Pete :)
