I'm about to join another also. My library has a limited number of licenses for home use, so if they are all used you have to wait. I have found I can join our national library, which also has access, so that will give me 2 chances

Just checked and under 18 cant join two Libraries.

I've sent off a request to join our National Library also.  Several kind Rootschatters have told me that they also have the Gale newspapers database and Origins.  Whoopee!!

If you haven't joined the state library - it is available too - and from how it is set up now, I think it will work with a BCC library card as well. I have so much plastic, I do get confused

Hi Trish and Ruskie,

The National Library lets you access all sorts of licenced databases once you have your card.

I found the easiest way in was via the home page http://www.nla.gov.au/  where they have a "Get A Library Card" link.

Card arrived within a week.
