Chistopher Newton (Father) Daughter Hannah b1909 lived in Chester-le-Street,
Other Name on Marriage cert is a witness Dora Newton, this is all i have other than address posted today also on Durham board,

I have been looking all day on records and can't seem to find any link for Chistopher Newton he lived at number 2 The Huts, Nova Scotia, Harraton in 1929, His Daughter is called Hannah, He was a Colliery Horse Keeper, This is the information on the Marriage cert for Hannah, PLEASE could someone help.

The only thing I can think of for you to do would be to get Hannah's birth certificate.  There are 4 choices in the area for 1908-1909 on the free BMD.  You could contact each of those register offices and find which had a father named Christopher.  You then would get the mother's name.  Then find the marriage of Christopher to whoever.  That would get you Christopher's father's name.  Then you could look for the correct Christopher in the earlier census.  The marriage cert would give you his age also.

Hi Lynn not sure If It Is any help ,one you can cross off your list Is the hannah blake newton, houghton le spring  her father was george newton mam elizabeth george was a pitman, the one at gateshead 1909 seems good as in 1910 gateshead there is a dorethy newton could be same family
