This Letitia (FORIS) was born in 1849...Johs daughter Letitia seems to have a DOB varying from 1839 to 1844..Is it another Letitia?

But my mum did mention that her gran was called Polly Prior...but I could never find one, so assumed it must be a pet name....I just phoned to check and she says POLLY!

So where are we now...LOL

Same combination of names ... I'm quite sure the 1891 census is correct! (And Polly is a traditional pet name for Mary)

According to the 1851 census, Letitia was born ca. 1842, therefore her age in 1891 isn't much out at all    (She's clearly 48 on the image)

Why are we searching a marriage for Letitia when she's down as single all the way? 

Haven't we established that Mary Ann was the daughter of James? (Or of his wife Harriet Hemmings anyway, given she was born before the marriage of James and Harriet)

I need to get my head around this and clarify...

Letitia is the dau of John (there is only one Letitia) and Mary Ann (or Polly) is the daughter of Thomas, son of John b1811..
