Looking for Jonathon Shallcross (my maternal great great grandfather) He is shown living skelmersdale (lancs) in the 1901 census but I cannot trace him prior to this. The census gives his d.o.b as 1863 born in Hanley, but I can find no trace of him in earlier census' in Staffs

Any help gladly recieved

Hi MT66,

There's a jonathan Shalcross born Biddulph showing on the 1871 census (RG10/3702 97 33), parents Jonathan and Sarah. Do you have the details yet / have you ruled him out?

Have seen this one but can't confirm at the moment, I am waiting for a Wedding cert for Jonathon that will give me his fathers name.

Thanks
