Marriage records for Beesley & Prescott

Can anyone help me trace the marriage records of John Beesley and Anne Prescott. All I know is what I found on IGI is they got married on 22nd January 1828 in Kirkby by Melling. I am trying to trace what information the records have that will help me further in my research.

It would seem that copies of the original registers would be held by Huyton Library, unfortunately the site doesn't seem to give an email address.  Maybe you could get in touch with them and ask them to do a look for you

Hello Debbi

This is what I found on the BIVRIndex CDs It would be the same as the IGI.  You could order the films through your nearest family search centre it is not very much and I think they keep them for about a month so you can view them in your own time.

The film No is next to source.

When you are looking at the IGI records if you click on the source number at the bottom of the page it will tell you where the parish records are kept.

If you see a batch number at the bottom of the page  click on it then type the same surname in again and some  records may come up for the same family.

Re John Beesley & Anne Prescott (married Kirkby 1828), this is a branch of my family.
John was a shoemaker of Briton Brow in Kirkby.

John's ancestors were
Michael Beesley b 1775 & Alice Turner
John Beesley b 1751 & Mary Taylor
Michael Beesley & Ellen Rothwell

Anne Prescott's parents were John Prescott b ~1775 Kirkby & Margaret Unknown.

Thank you very much for all the information. I have only recently started to trace my ancestors and had come to a stop with John and Anne. Do you know when either of them died?
