I have just PM'd Sonstar with some new info on these people,so I think that will be the end of tracing them......as I think I've found her family ..again

Thank you for all your help with this topic - i have found who i was looking for and have details of the Robert Bentley from my 2nd cousin!

I recieved the marraige certifcate from the council at the weekend, which i was completely chuffed at, it indicates that:

1907 - August 4th:

Jesse Bentley - aged 26. father was a William Bentley, last known address Butterfield Street - Liverpool i think - occupation - drapers assistant. Fathers Occupation - gentlemen.
Amelia R Stockley - aged 22. father was a William Stockley, last known address Lister Road - Liverpool again. occupation - (none). Fathers Occupation - Collier (dont know wht that means).

This is REOPEN - i have some more information from my grandads sisters diary that she wrote before she passed?

 i now know where the ROBERT came from:

Uncle George, dad's eldest
brother lived in the next street with his wife Aunty Laura..they had 3
boys William, Fred,Robert  who  all worked in the Baildon Woollen Mills.

uncle george is George Bentley born 1872 baildon married a Laura at some point and had the 3 sons - who i take it will be my grandads cousins!!

Any one have info on the mills!!!

Are you meaning the George William - Jesse's youngest brother? but this note says  "dad's eldest brother"

I see the family also have a George as their eldest child! (8 in 1881)
they dont make it easy for us do they!

hi Liz - yeah the eldest brother George - there was 2 georges

The eldest George was born 1872 in Baildon area!! So yeah he was 8 in 1881. He married a Laura and had the 3 children - William, Fred and Robert

I am assuming this is the Robert i have been hunting information on!!
