1841 / 1871 Census Lookup - SPOOR / SPORE

I am trying to  trace the family of my gt grandfather James Spoor who was possibly born at Sibton somewhere around 1826/28.
His parents are supposedly James Spoor /Spore and mother was called Lucy?
I now suspect that the mothers name was not Lucy but could be a relative.
A recent check on the IGI shows a James Spore born 4 Mar 1828 at Kelsale with parents being James Spore and Mary Ann LILLY.

Looking through the 1861 Census I have located a James Spore 61y and his wife Mary Ann 52y living at Peasenhall with children Samuel 23y born Sibton, Joseph 14y, Robert 13y Harriet 8y - all born Heavingham. 

The 1881 Census shows both James & Maryann still living at Peasenhall with James (senior) having been born at Sibton.

Could some kind person please lookup the 1841 - 1871 census for this family.  Any assistance in trying to track this family would be very much appreciated..

Not having any luck with your Ggrandfather James in 1871...Is he still in UK?....I note Sue did not turn him up in 1851 either and u do not mention him in your 1861findings  ...The only other James I can find r

These do not look like your James

Many thanks for your replies and it certainly looks like the right family.

I had just made this first posting of mine and went outside to do a spot of weeding and came inside to be very surprised with the quickness of your replies.

It appears that my gt grandfather James Spoor was a bit of a mystery man and on 6 Feb 1851 he joined the 65th Regiment of Foot based at Chatham and I am now trying to track through the 1851 Kent census.  No luck so far.

James Spoor came to NZ with the 65th Regiment firstly to Tasmania on 30 May 1853 as a guard on the convict ship "St Vincent"  and then to NZ on the "HMS Calliope" which arrived at Wellington 8 July 1853. He served with the 65th Regt. until his discharge at Auckland on 7 Feb 1863.

Nothing is known of his family except the small titbits of 'family lore' passed onto me by my father.

This James doesn't tally with the baptism of 1828 but maybe they that James died and they named another with the same name, as they appeared to have done with Robert.

That is all I can find though there is a Maria Miles 28 b Ubbeston.....Marias born Ubbeston r a lot more common than Lucys born Sibton...LOL.....This Maria is married no kids living in Hinton....There is a Maria Crickmore a servant  in Pleasenhall but when I checked she is unwed....Can not c any liklies for the rest of the family

when I check the ref I would assume it to be close by Heveningham 1769 and Pleasenhall 1770
