Nathaniel BARKESDALE II, b. 1595, Hampshire, England, d. 5 Apr 1633, Worcester, m. 21 Nov 1622, Thenford, Northamptonshire, England Dorothy WODHULL, b. abt. 1631 England, bapt. 1 Aug 1596 Thenford, d. 1649 England. Dorothy WODHULL was a tenth generation descendant of Edward III, King of England.
Known children of Rev. Nathaniel II and Dorothy:  Richard, b. unknown; William, b. 1629; Nathaniel, b. unknown; and Barbara, b. unknown.
Rev. Nathaniel BARKESDALE II was the son of Rev. Nathaniel BARKESDALE I, b. bet. 1551-1552, England, d.  bet. 1628-1629, Worcester, England, m. unknown.  NathanieL BARKESDALE II attended Oxford University in 1613; received BA, Brasemore, 1615; and MA, St. Mary's Hall, 1618.
Parents of Nathaniel BARKESDALE I were Thomas D. BARKESDALE, b. 1530, d. unknown, m. unknown Elizabeth, b. unknown, d. unknown.
