I'd like to take advantage of your kind offer too on two surnames if I may.

Would a widow of surgeon Charles Armit Masson be entered?  They lived in Glasgow. Her name was Isabella Telford Crum who had been a nurse prior to her marriage.

Also looking for a very common surname of Mckenzie/Mackenzie. There were several brothers in the coal and steel industries, some born in New Cunmock, Ayrshire and others born in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire. I know one had a manufacturing company in Glasgow but not certain of the company name.

Sorry, the surname Stringer does not appear in this book.

Rena, I'm sure if Charles had been alive when the book was being compiled he would have been in this book.  Sadly his widow is not mentioned.  There is no mention of any of your Mc/Mackenzies either.  As you say it is a common surname :)

Thank you so much for your quick response.  It was a long shot, but when I saw your offer I couldn't resist asking, as I wondered how Isabella had managed to survive with a child and as she'd been a nurse at Hillhead hospital before marriage, I was curious about her situation.  The Mc/Mackenzies were her cousins and knowing about any manufacturing company would have confirmed some vague information that I was given by one of my own cousins.

He was at Sorrelle Lodge from 1935 to 1942 according to UK & Ireland, Medical Directories.

There is no mention of a Finlay Macrae.
