That's them - Noon(e) for Lissonuffy. We have it narrowed down somewhat to Trila Dillon, Curraghroe, Lissonuffy, County Roscommon. My grandfather, Michael, left in 1907 for NYC, following his brothers and sisters. That's when his name was changed to "Noonan." We don't know why. His older brother changed it, somewhere over the Atlantic crossing, from "Noone" to "Noonan". All his brothers and sisters did the same. It's a mystery to us.
