LMA Look up please - Sophia Ann MESSER born 26 July 1802; bap 26 Sept 1802 St Leonards Shoreditch and /or William George MESSER born 15 April 1804, bap St Leonards Shoreditch 29 July 1804. Father -William Messer, mother Ann (Bailey). Will it have their father's occupation on Register entry? I am trying to sort out my William MESSERs!!!!! Barbara (Australia)

I'm currently doing look-ups at the London Metropolitan Archives where these registers have been deposited.

However, I haven't done any look-ups over the summer holidays and now my look-up list for September is full.

If you are happy to wait, I'll keep this on file and get to it as quickly as I can, If not, the LMA does research but charges from £40.

These baptisms are entered in an old style handwritten register, there are no pre-printed boxes to be filled in

Sept 1802
26th Sophia Ann d of William & Ann Messer of Wilson Street born July 26th

July 1804
29th William George s of William & Ann Messer of Wilson Street born April 15th

Hi - thank you for the St Leonards Shoreditch look up. It hasn't solved my problems with sorting out who William Messer was (I thought it may have had his occupation), but I didn't have the street. Another piece in the puzzle!. I did reply earlier but not seen it! Barbara
