Hi John

Just read your previous post Re: Jack James & Fanny James

My Great Grandmother was Clara James (daughter of boater Phillip & Ellen Wenlock).

Clara married into another boating family, the Chater's, I think Fanny is a rellie of hers????

Do you have any other info?

Thanks guys,

I have only gone as far back as Philip James at the moment so not sure who is siblings/parents were etc. Phillip was born Tewkesbury way and his daughter Clara was born in Tipton. She had a sister called Louisa who married a Joseph Jacques (another boating name). I know this 100% as my Great Aunt who is still alive told me some info last weekend. Shem remembers having an Auntie Lou & an Uncle Jo that were boaters.

I have the census record for Phillip, Ellen and Clara at Stoke Prior on board 'Hadley' & 'Brittania'

Like Jane says it's poss we are all linked in some way.

John, prehaps our James are related down the line. I will carry on digging and digging and digging............................. ::)
