Marriage of Robert Frith & Jane Lane where?

Trying to find the marriage of Robert Jasper Frith to Jane Sophia Lane. No show on Free BMD.

On Census1861: RG9/336/58/22. 2 Devonshire St, Newington.

Robert Frith.           H M age:26     Printer             b: St James.
Jane    Frith.           W M age:38                            b: Shoreditch
Jane Amelia Frith.   D age: 3                                 b: Newington
Robert James Frith. S age: 1                                b:       "
Jessie  Frith.          D age: 2mths                          b:       "

Have B/C for Robert James & confirms parents names.

No show for them on 1871 Census although found: Mitcham, Holborn Ind. School. Robert & Jessie Frith both aged: 12. Inmates. b: St Luke's, Mddx

Not sure if wife Jane Frith died during 1860`s as 2 died in Lambeth area. Got wrong one Dec 1869. Other Dec 1864 so could be daughter or wife.

  On 28 Aug 1881 Robert sen. married again( condition: Bachelor ) to Annie Raven. Holborn ( after living together for some years ).

Hi Devis,

Jane looks to me to be 28 rather than 38 on the 1861 census. Do you have her in 1841/1851?

I can't see a marriage either.  Could it be that they never did make it down the aisle, despite living as man and wife, and that Robert was therefore telling the truth when he said he was a bachelor in 1881?

Hi Anna,
You could be right about Jane aged 28 . When I first looked it seemed 38

I haven`t found Jane on 1841/1851 yet . I note her father James is with her in 1861.

Hi, There is a Jane Lane 18 House Sev. 123 Church Street Bethnal Green in 1851

She gives place of birth as Grays Inn Lane.

Could be this is her I found:1851. HO107/1567/292. Newington.
Jane Sophia Lane. u/m.  d.  age: 22.
James Lane.           w.     f.   age: 64.         occupation: ? - maker?

The FRITHS are another branch of the family tree I have trouble  tracking down

Hi there, I am also tracing the Frith family - my 4 x Great-Grandmother was Charlotte Elizabeth Frith b.1801 St. James, Westminster, sister of Robert Jasper Frith b.1806 & Aunt of his son, Robert Jasper Frith b.1838 that you mention.

My Charlotte married in 1819 to John Edward Nye and I believe her parents were Nathaniel Frith & Elizabeth Williams, who married 20/10/1786 at St. Saviour, Southwark.  I belive that Nathaniel orginally came from Wokingham, Berkshire and had siblings, Phillips (1765); James (1768); Jasper (1772); & Ann (1768). 

I believe Jasper married in 1799 at St. Saviour, Southwark to Elizabeth Eleanor Greenwood.  I think Ann married in 1788 in Wokingham to John Rance.

Would love to hear from anyone on this!

Thanks for the contact. Seems there is a conection with my Friths. Just checked Robert Jasper Frith (1806 -1849)  marriage to Susan Bartram 27/7/1828 St Annes, Soho and 2 witnesses are J NYE and E NYE.

I have been trying to trace back where Robert Jasper was born and who his parents were so your info has been a great help. If you need any info on Robert and Susans family let me know. Please keep in contact.

Jasper who married Elizabeth GREENWOOD died prior to 1809, as Elizabeth Eleanor FRITH, widow, married David STEEL, widower, at St George Hanover Square, on 29 Aug 1809.
