Hello JeannieR thank you for the quick reply. You have been a great help and I will order the death certificate for Mary 1861 and William 1855. I wondered if any other information like occupation or residence was provided in the the index that could help verify I have the right family?  With thanks

Danielle

Hello Danielle.....

I am afraid the CDrom I have, of Leeds burials, do's not give addresses or occupations. It do's not always give ages.....

It may be worth your time, going to the Yorkshire Indexers website. It is free, and the people on there are very helpful, and may have more information.

Kind Regards

JeannieR

I have mailed Durhamlass a message to the effect you have found a William Philip.
(She hasn't visited this site for over 12 months, but I am sure she will reply.)

A very big thank you Philip for finding this information , Yes this is the William i have been searching for and thanks Brian for letting me know.
As i mentioned earlier William was a farmer ,his address is given as Cavalier Hill ( Leeds ) could anyone advise me where i might find any land records or does anyone know where i could find the name of the land owner of this area around  1800 ??
I cannot find any records for William's birth ( i have concentrated on the Leeds area )i thought if i could find any tenancy records it may give me a clue to his place of birth.
Once again Philip thank you.

Given that Durhamlass has now got partial information on her William.
Could someone with a paid subscription to one of the paid for websites submit any further info?
Where was William born/what was his parents name or anything else that could contribute to a successful mission.
(If it is found that William was born Bradford, so much the better for me as I can access records easier than Leeds)

Is there more information on the William buried 1835?
I would have thought there might have been a birth location.
That is what I was trying to confirm?
